Robby Musenbichler gained his first stage experience with "Generation67" and "Freak Out." After moving to Graz, he played with "Magic" alongside Boris Bukowski and Günter Timischl. In 1978, he relocated to Frankfurt and became a member of the "Michael Wynn Band." Until 1990, he worked there as a sought-after studio musician, producer, and composer, including at the Sound City Studio in Los Angeles. During this time, he founded the band "Tokyo" and later "Jojo," and collaborated with Frank Farian. As a guitarist, he toured with Edo Zanki and Ina Deter. In 1990, he participated in "Toto in Classic feat. Bobby Kimball" and then returned to Austria. He established himself as a prominent figure in Austropop, notably as the long-time lead guitarist for Rainhard Fendrich, as well as collaborating with Reinhold Bilgeri, Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung, Opus, Wilfried, Supermax, Gert Steinbäcker, and Carl Peyer. For his commitment to the Special Olympics (anthem "10,000 People"), he received the Golden Honorary Award from the state of Styria in 1993. With his studio "Splash" in Zeltweg and the band "Robby & Splash," he built another foundation. This was followed by international festival appearances (including with ZZ Top, Status Quo, Chicago, John Fogerty, Wishbone Ash) as well as a concert in 2019 with Richie Blackmore's Rainbow at the Olympiahalle in Munich. In 2023, the Tokyo album "SEVEN" was released. With over 2000 productions, Musenbichler is among the most sought-after studio musicians in Austria.
