Flamenco is an art of immediate emotion - an intense dialogue of voice, rhythm, and strings. On stage is Daniel Casares, one of the most prominent guitarists in contemporary Flamenco. The artist from Málaga gained international recognition early on: at just 16 years old, he won the Bordón Minero de La Unión, followed by the Premio Nacional de Guitarra de Jaén; shortly thereafter, he recorded his first album. Casares’ music combines the deeply rooted Flamenco tradition of Andalusia with contemporary openness and great sonic curiosity. His collaborations with artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Poveda, Dulce Pontes, and José Mercé testify to his stylistic range. El poder de lo sutil is a poetic homage to the quiet, often overlooked forces of music - to those moments where intensity unfolds not in loudness, but in subtlety. With his Flamenco sextet, Daniel Casares opens a colorful sound space where virtuosic guitar artistry, expressive singing, powerful dance, and modern instrumentation come together for a dense, passionate concert experience.
