Exhibition Opening: Edelweiss Forever

Already in the first half of the 20th century, Salzburg's landscape, music, and traditional costumes were used for tourism marketing. Films like "The Sound of Music" shape the image of the region worldwide. The exhibition "Edelweiß forever" at the Monatsschlössl explores these themes from three perspectives: in the film "The Sound of Music," through the von Trapp family, and in the development of Salzburg in the 1950s and 1960s. It complements the Sound of Music Salzburg, which will open in Hellbrunn in 2026.
