Leadership: Sustainable Forestry – Forests in Climate Change

Sustainable forestry has been practiced at Esterhazy for decades and is confirmed by awards such as the PEFC label and the Wildlife Estate label. In times of climate change, our forests are indeed threatened, but at the same time, climate-resilient forests offer solutions for the future. The Landseer Mountains Nature Park is characterized by a high density of forest cover, where diversity plays a central role in resilient and future-proof ecosystems. Through practical examples, we will demonstrate oak and fir regeneration as well as the cultivation of site-adapted guest tree species – including discussions and experience sharing.
