Conflict Resolver Body Language
Reading People
Understanding Impact
Experiencing Conversation

Arguments with a partner, squabbles with a colleague, escalations in traffic – hardly a day goes by without nerve-wracking conflicts. Studies show that most disputes arise from trivial matters. The trigger is almost always body language – and at the same time, it serves as the earliest warning signal that a conflict is brewing. An arrogant glance, a haughty chin, or aggressive staring suddenly make words smell like trouble.

This, of course, prompts Dynamite-Doris to immediately launch her verbal torpedoes, while Circle-Susanne with her "We need to talk" only heats up every conflict further. On the other hand, the slick body language of Draft-Dieter reveals only one thing: "I’m ignoring you and your feelings." Thus, a minor issue quickly turns into an emotional injury that lingers and can even destroy relationships.

Body language expert Stefan Verra demonstrates with a lot of wit, acting talent, and scientific know-how how to recognize a conflict before it escalates. With plenty of self-irony, he also shows why "Let's stay objective!" is guaranteed to never work.

By the end of the show, you will be able to decode the smallest signals from your counterpart – and know how to skillfully defuse an escalation with the right facial expressions and gestures. Family gatherings, meetings, and vacations with your partner will once again be what they should be: harmonious. As always with the Body Language Speaker, you won't know whether you laughed more or learned more in the end.
