Hayao Miyazaki's Dreams

A unique concert awaits you on March 7th at 8:00 PM in the atmospherically unique chamber music hall in Graz. You will hear enchanting soundtracks from world-famous anime such as "Howl's Moving Castle," "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," "Spirited Away," and "My Neighbor Totoro," composed by the greatest modern Japanese composer, Joe Hisaishi. We invite you to immerse yourself in the world of magical music, accompanied by a colorful performance from the contemporary orchestra Mystery Ensemble. A delight for the whole family is guaranteed.

Throughout his long career, Hisaishi has worked on music for films, anime, video games, television, and advertising. Another highlight of his career was the musical design of the Paralympic Games in 1998 in Nagano. Hisaishi's most famous works can be heard in the cult films of Takeshi Kitano and in the animes of Hayao Miyazaki.

Especially the brilliant creators Hisaishi and Miyazaki harmonize perfectly with each other. It remains a mystery whether Miyazaki's films achieved their brilliance through Hisaishi's music or Hisaishi's music achieved its brilliance through Miyazaki's films. An unusually beautiful concert in the atmospheric interiors of the chamber music hall on a cozy spring evening! Joe Hisaishi is one of the most famous Japanese composers. He released his first album, "Information," in 1982.
