Guided Tour Pauliberg:

Exciting Insights into Nature & Raw Material Extraction at Pauliberg Discover the recently extinct volcano Pauliberg as a valuable habitat and modern raw material site. Learn more about Austria's raw material needs – particularly in Burgenland – and the history of basalt extraction. Get to know the new conveyor system, automated loading, and the photovoltaic system that already covers a quarter of the energy demand. Additionally, find out why extraction sites can be ecologically valuable habitats and how nature conservation is implemented concretely and practically at Esterhazy.
