Judaism in Burgenland Literature

Is it not easier to grasp the great and heavy history if we learn to understand it from the perspective of exemplary experiences? If this is the case, then engaging with literary texts becomes important. Peter Wagner and Siegmund Kleinl have shaped the profile of the Burgenland literary landscape for several decades. To this day, the two authors write books in close succession. The works of both writers are connected by thematic threads. Important focal points include the theme of religion and the question of Judaism. The literary scholar Lukas Pallitsch will engage in a conversation with Siegmund Kleinl and Peter Wagner, starting from the Catholic background to explore Jewish motifs.
