Game Fair: Play in the Country

In a time when digital media and community life are often perceived as opposites, we want to show with our event that both can fit together well. The goal is to create a place where young and old, gamers and the curious, locals and newcomers can play, laugh, and engage in conversation together – in the spirit of a vibrant village community.

For one weekend, we will transform our village into a meeting point for gaming enthusiasts: from classic board games to modern video games – the event offers something for every age group. Workshops, small tournaments, and meeting zones promote exchange, creativity, and a sense of community. This creates a unifying experience that bridges generations and interests, demonstrating that innovation, culture, and solidarity also have a place in rural areas.

Areas include:
• Retro Area (old computer systems invite you on a time travel)
• Stage (for lectures, a police talk on cybercrime, my talk on "Dangers in Video Games," etc.)
• Indie developers from FH Salzburg showcase their new games
• A dedicated area for testing the latest board games
• Cosplay or makeup area for children
