Wild herbs often grow unnoticed at the roadside. We encounter these valuable treasures of nature every day, without knowing what a great enrichment they can bring to our lives. Join me on an excursion into the untouched plant world of the Waldviertel!
Fresh spring herbs are full of green vitality. Nettle, ground ivy, chickweed, dead-nettle, and others are just a few of the spring plants that can enhance your well-being. Discover valuable wild plants with me and learn about their processing and healing powers.

Learn how to:
- Safely identify spring herbs
- Properly harvest and process herbs in spring
- Correctly dry and preserve herbs
- Make herbal extracts like herbal oil or a tincture
- Create an oxymel / a herbal honey yourself
Discover the hidden powers that lie dormant in wild plants. On a route through forest and meadow, we will closely examine the native wild herbs. Afterwards, we will collectively prepare a herbal honey as a takeaway.
Cost contribution: € 55,– (including materials)
Duration: 3-4 hours

Participants: minimum 6, maximum 20 participants
Registration required, possible until the day before.
Please note that for nature conservation reasons, no large quantities of herbs will be collected during the herb walk.
Please bring:
Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and personal refreshments as needed.
Information about the route:
The varied landscape of the Bear Trail offers ideal conditions for a rich diversity of herbs. We will cover a distance of approximately 3 km. The terrain varies from flat to steep, from farm roads to footpaths. This route is not suitable for strollers.
Weather: The wild herb walk takes place in all weather conditions. However, in extreme weather situations (storm, thunderstorm, etc.), I reserve the right to spontaneously change the event or cancel it for your own safety.
