For generations, storytelling has been a way to share what previous generations, if at all, have only revealed in small circles. It is about breaking the silence of "the elders," a silence that is by no means resolved with the passing of the war generation. Aside from the overwhelming amount of information and the crushing news we are faced with, there is an excess of inaction in the here and now. And: there is always a focus on other, preceding, and future generations, on changes that were and are possible, on the tectonic shifts in life courses.
