Insider Tip in the Habachtal: Kesselkaralm

The meeting point for this hike is at the Habachtal parking lot. From here, the valley taxi takes us to our starting point, the Gasthof Alpenrose. The shaded ascent through the forest offers frequent opportunities to see the most beautiful spots of the Habachtal from above. Above the tree line, we are greeted with a view stretching the entire length of the valley. Although the Habachtal is one of the most famous valleys in the national park due to its emerald deposits, we encounter hardly any hikers up here. At the Kesselkaralm, we enjoy the tranquility and our packed snacks. The descent back to the Gasthof Alpenrose follows the ascent route, after which we continue along the beautifully laid-out Smaragdweg down the valley to the parking lot.
