Nördlicher Bodensee
Riedweg 3, 88271 Wilhelmsdorf
In her workshop at the Wilhelmsdorf Nature Conservation Center, Katja Falkenburger introduces participants to the technique of free embossing on paper.
Mixed media to touch, with an inspiring panoramic view of the
autumnal, wintry, earthy hues of the Pfrungen Ried: In this
course, we expand painting and drawing into a new dimension—
tactilely perceptible embossed textures that, in combination with paper and
paints, enable new forms of expression. We’ll go all out
and work on several images simultaneously using additive image composition.
We’ll explore how to breathe life into the images through the interplay of light and shadow
in the texture, and what potential lies in embossed
lines, textures, and patterns. The goal is to create an experimental
series of images that sharpens our eye for new forms of expression.
Free embossing is like painting or drawing with a hammer and fine
chisels featuring various geometric tips—analog and entirely
without stencils or machines—[www.falkenburger.de/galerie](http://www.falkenburger.de/galerie)
