Whether under the open sky, as a street band on streets and squares, on small and large stages, amplified or completely unamplified—with this music, good cheer and a lively atmosphere are guaranteed. Bandleader Jörgen Welander creates a distinctive sound with his compositions and arrangements, stylistically ranging from New Orleans jazz to funk and inspired by bands such as the Dirty Dozen BB (USA), the Mardi Gras BB (Germany), and FunkOff (Italy). Electric guitar, percussion, and vocals bring a fresh twist to the Funky Marching Band’s classic brass lineup of trumpet, saxophone, trombone, sousaphone, snare drum, and bass drum.
