Organic Young Plant Day 2026

Our BIO AUSTRIA farmers offer…
…on this day a wide variety of young vegetable plants including tomatoes, peppers, and chilies, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, eggplants, and other garden classics like lettuce, kohlrabi, culinary herbs, and tea herbs. Additionally, there will be shrubs and fruit trees. Alongside well-known varieties, there are many rarities and old varieties to discover.

Would you like a bag of compost?

Every visitor can fill a bag of compost to take home – while supplies last. Compost is the gold of every gardener – it provides the ideal foundation for supplying plants with nutrients. There will also be tips and tricks on how to make your own compost.

There’s plenty for the kids to do:

In addition to shaping seed balls that will make their own garden or balcony boxes bloom, our youngest visitors can craft small nesting pots for beneficial insects. At the organic storytelling theater, both young and old can listen to the adventures of Mira and Maxi on the organic farm. There will also be other exciting and sporty activities.

Cozy market atmosphere:

Alongside all the plants, enjoyment should not be overlooked. Taste not only our jams, syrups, and honeys that you can take home, but also indulge in treats from our organic farmers, such as crispy spiral potatoes for snacking and organic ice cream as the first rays of sunshine appear.

Georg Höfler will accompany our day with his melodic guitar sounds, creating the perfect musical backdrop for a relaxed market atmosphere.
