Radio Rosa "Groundless"

"Groundless" is the title of this 18th edition of Radio rosa. In it, the four artists engage in a text-sound performance that ventures into a realm without ground and soil, leaving behind grounded stability to explore the groundless reasons. They write a name and set the heart free, move in circles, encounter the murmuring Nusch, the hopping Ging, the loose ground, and delight in groundless creatures as well as the songs that drip from the heart valves. A multi-voiced choir joyfully surfs on the refined soundscapes of Josef Wagner.

Radio rosa is an ongoing project, conceived in 2008 by Patricia Brooks (in collaboration with the Graz Authors' Assembly) with the aim of creating a format that steps aside from conventional readings. In this project, artists from various genres, scenes, and generations come together to collaboratively develop a performance project. Each year, a new edition of Radio rosa is created, which - depending on the project - moves between reading, concert, and text-sound performance within the tension of improvisation and montage, language poetry, concrete poetry, and fragmentary prose. So far, 18 Radio rosa productions have been performed.
