It shaped an entire generation and remains groundbreaking to this day. With the rise of synthesizers, incredible songs with cult status emerged. Horst Gössl and the Classic Quintet Vienna have made it their mission to pay tribute to this significant musical era in their own special way, and they do so excellently. They give contemporary compositions a wonderful acoustic-classical touch with vocals, acoustic guitar, violins, viola, cello, and double bass, allowing the originals to shine in a whole new light. In this way, they create a counterpoint to the predominantly electronic sound of the time and highlight the outstanding songwriting in the truest sense of the word, without losing respect for the original works in terms of high recognizability.
