The Clempanei

The main ingredients of their soothing guitar ballads are the poetic lyrics of the award-winning songwriter Clementi and the original arrangements of the exceptional guitarist Pardeller. Here, they do not cook in the musical everyday kitchen. As a side dish, there is two-part harmony singing, fiery percussion, and sweet harmonica. And since both feel at home in the theater world, their songs are sometimes seasoned with beautiful drama and sometimes with profound humor.

Thematically, Georg Clementi's lyrics are hard to pin down. There is no issue, no matter how political, that he cannot extract a punchline from, and no love story does he tell so devoid of irony that one couldn't smile about it, whether it is in High German, Italian, or the South Tyrolean dialect. In his lyrical kitchen, he cooks with a lot of humor and poetry, and anything banal is frowned upon.

Musically, the duo also speaks a very versatile language. Ossy Pardeller creates astonishing sound worlds with his guitars, and together they craft dramatically beautiful songs with the simplest means.
