Brandmal – An Artistic Fire Installation

We are once again lighting a fire in the form of a land art project at the historic sites of Haag Luisenhöhe, Pram Schulterberg, and Weibern Galgenberg. The fire burns – it leaves a scar – which eventually heals over.
Signs, words, and signals made from flammable natural materials will be erected in the landscape. These will be constructed both standing and lying down in the landscape. The fire spreads away from the standing sign, moving along the letters like a wildfire, until eventually the entire sign is ablaze.
The lying fire pit leaves a BRAND MARK in the landscape, which remains visible from afar for a long time even after the fire has gone out.
