Tobacco Factory Linz - Urban Canyon/Haus CASABLANCA This year, it’s happening again at the Tobacco Factory Linz (Entrance U2) – all routes start and finish here. After the ride, the After-Ride Event will take place in front of Haus CASABLANCA and the Urban Canyon! Additionally, we have the largest bike workshop in Linz right on the premises! The B7 team will be there from Thursday morning until Saturday noon, offering you service, support, and a great atmosphere – right on site. Whether you prefer a relaxed ride or want to push yourself, GRAVALLO offers you three routes of varying lengths to choose from. You decide what suits you best. And the best part: You can change your route choice later on, depending on how you feel that day. All three routes will be published on Komoot in the week leading up to the event. There, you will find all the information you need – including elevation gain, route length, and elevation profile. Just check under "Routes."
What can you expect? Pure Mühlviertel style: hilly terrain, varied paths, and plenty of nature. Gravel, forest, and field paths are included, as well as longer stretches on asphalt to regain speed or just roll along casually. No matter which route you choose – at GRAVALLO, it’s not about winning, but about the experience. Those who choose the 110 km route will start on Saturday at 08:30, while the 70 km route will start a bit later at 10:30. A special highlight is the new 300 km SUPERCORE, which will be a multi-day tour along the entire length of the Schwarzenbergian floating canal and the former horse-drawn railway line Linz-Budweis through the Czech Bohemian Highlands to Krumau. A unique combination of nature, history, and gravel enjoyment, flexible and without a common start.
GRVLO CORE - 70 km/1290 Hm The ride starts directly at the Tobacco Factory Linz. From there, the route leads over the new railway bridge, across the Danube to Pfenningberg. Out of the city – into gravel pleasure. What follows is a varied mix of asphalt, forest, and gravel paths that will take you along the former horse-drawn railway line near Neumarkt im Mühlkreis through the typical hills of the Mühlviertel. The first checkpoint awaits you in Niederaich near Hagenberg, the perfect spot for a short breather. In the second section, the route follows the former horse-drawn railway line towards Linz, where the second checkpoint is located at Gran Tourismo Bike in Gallneukirchen, and you will meet the riders of the 100 km route there. And then the highlight: The third checkpoint is located in the Mural Harbor – 28 meters high, at a truly special place with a view and urban art vibes. The fourth and final checkpoint awaits you again at the Tobacco Factory – goal achieved, ride completed.
GRVLO FONDO - 110 km/1830 Hm The ride starts at the Tobacco Factory Linz. The first kilometers to warm up will take place on the Danube Cycle Path EuroVelo 6 towards Puchenau and on to the first checkpoint in Neußerling. The route continues in a mix of asphalt, forest, and field paths, always uphill and downhill through the hilly landscape of Mühlviertel and through the enchanting Rasnitztal towards the castle ruin Lobenstein, where the second checkpoint is located. Then it continues through Zwettl an der Rodl and Freistadt, before you encounter the old track of the horse-drawn railway Linz–Budweis near Neumarkt im Mühlkreis. The third checkpoint is reached in Gallneukirchen at Gran Tourismo Bike. And then it’s back to where it all began: The fourth and final checkpoint awaits you upon your arrival at the Tobacco Factory.
GRVLO SUPERCORE - 300 km/4880 Hm The ride starts directly at the Tobacco Factory Linz. From there, the route leads over the new railway bridge, across the Danube towards St. Magdalena. Out of the city – into nature. What follows is a varied mix of asphalt, forest, and field paths that will take you along the entire horse-drawn railway line through the typical hills of Mühlviertel. You will reach the first checkpoint at Gran Tourismo Bike in Gallneukirchen. From Rainbach im Mühlkreis, it gets international: You will cross the border into the Czech Republic and ride along the Vltava to the second checkpoint in Krumau (100 km) – including old town flair and river views. Then comes the centerpiece for true gravel fans: Continuing towards the Vltava reservoir, where the gravel paradise begins – along the entire Schwarzenberg floating canal (180 km). Pure nature, lots of gravel, lots of flow!
Continuing on the Iron Curtain Trail to the "green" border crossing Rading, then towards Haslach, along the Steinernen Mühl and on to the third checkpoint in Neußerling. The last kilometers are a relaxed ride on the Danube Cycle Path (EuroVelo 6) towards Linz. And when you return to the Tobacco Factory, the last checkpoint awaits you – and perhaps the first cool drinks as well.

Everyone participating will receive a meal & a drink at the finish, all included, because you deserve it. And if hunger strikes more than expected: The recovery buffet has even more snacks & drinks at fair prices, as long as supplies last.
GRVLO Raffle To ensure everything goes as planned, we have set up a few checkpoints along the routes. Whether you collect stamps for your card as a memento of GRAVALLO or to participate in the raffle is entirely up to you. If you don’t want any of that, just keep riding. But important: You need all the stamps for the raffle. So, if you’re keen on cool prizes, it’s time to hit those checkpoints! No stress, just your style.
On the route GRAVALLO is a self-supported bike event. Each participant is responsible for their own supplies of sufficient fluids and food along the route. Roads are not closed to traffic along the entire route, and all participants must strictly adhere to the regulations of the road traffic regulations.
