Reading & Conversation with Florian Klenk

A new place for literature in the Gastein Valley, many new chapters for the Alpine Casual Hotel: the BücherBühneBlü brings authors, readers, and the curious together. Starting in May 2026, there will be a series of exciting literary encounters where books will be read, discussed, and contemplated.

The series will kick off on May 16, 2026, with journalist and author Florian Klenk, who will read from his new book about Blauenstein.

What is he particularly looking forward to? "To the silence while reading," says Klenk. Because in noisy times, that is always a magical moment. More evenings are already planned: on September 19, 2026, curator Petra Hartlieb will be a guest and present her new book.

The idea for a literary event in the hotel has been in the air for a long time. Not only in the hotel library of Blü, which has been entirely furnished by host Eva Eder. Here, guests can stock up on books during their stay at the Gastein boutique hotel or simply browse in peace. "Literature has always been a major theme in our house," Eva shares. With the BücherBühneBlü, she now has a new playground. It also enhances the flourishing cultural scene in the hotel, which is known beyond the local borders for its well-curated jazz program in the summer.
