In recent years, the wastewater treatment plant has been expanded from 22,000 to 33,000 population equivalents, and several projects related to energy efficiency and the production of renewable energy have been implemented.

At the site of the wastewater treatment plant in Anzenau, visitors can view the facilities for wastewater treatment as well as the measures taken for energy optimization. The activities of the sewer operation regarding monitoring and operational safety of wastewater discharge, as well as the current renaturation of the Traun River, will also be presented.

In addition to important information about the wastewater treatment plant, there will be an opportunity for introductory archery at the nearby shooting range of the Salzkammergut Archery Club. The Holzwärme Bad Goisern will also open its doors at the biomass heating plant in Stambach. Here, interested visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the largest cooperatively organized biomass district heating suppliers in Austria. Holzwärme Bad Goisern is one of the exemplary companies in the industry and an indispensable part of Bad Goisern. An information booth from EiSKG - Electricity from the World Heritage Region will also be present.

Food and refreshments will be provided at both event locations, and on the day of the event, the biomass heating plant and the wastewater treatment plant will be connected for free via the Goiserer environmental bus.
