The Long Night of Fairy Tales in the Mechanical Sound Factory

Who doesn’t love the timeless stories of wolves and princesses, dwarfs and grandmothers, beggars and kings? Who remains indifferent to talking animals and plants, giants, witches, fairies, and dragons? Fairy tales encompass entire worlds and have fascinated young and old for centuries.

In the collection of the Mechanical Sound Factory, there is a precious assortment of old records with beautifully illustrated covers that tell classic fairy tales. This is a perfect reason to dust off the record player and pack up sleeping bags to spend the evening, or perhaps even the whole night, together in the museum!

We will make ourselves cozy in the museum: after selecting a fairy tale, we will take a closer look at the beautiful colorful images on the covers and let pictures form in our minds. While listening, we can calmly draw our fairy tale heroes, create pop-up cards from them, or transform them into stuffed animals. Anyone who feels like it can also try their hand at shadow theater. Of course, hot cocoa, bedtime treats, and plenty of time for chatting are essential during the exciting fairy tale hours.
