"Suburban Women" creator Uli Brée takes the audience on a tour through his worlds – from a murder case that isn’t one, to the quiet moments of life that often scream louder than some crimes.

In the first part of his reading evening, he opens the universe of Liesl von der Post: The third volume, "Oedipus," takes the headstrong postwoman right into the quirky corners of human errors – clever, biting, full of dark humor. A crime story about love, death, and what gets lost in between.

After the break, it becomes more personal, less predictable. Brée reads texts that don’t explain anything but allow for much understanding – about friendship and offense, about failure, the waiting for peace, about love and the reserve bench of life. Stories about falling, wrong decisions, and realizations that are only useful if one wants to learn from them.

With his unmistakable narrative voice, Uli Brée guides us through the landscapes of his life over the past years – between yesterday and now. He speaks of losses that remain and moments that save. Between wit and wisdom, between defiance and comfort, a reading emerges that celebrates life – even if it doesn’t sugarcoat it.
