Exhibition Christin Breuil

The exhibition unfolds a flowing interplay of nature, color, and movement. Lightness and dynamism are evident in works that lie between abstraction and representation, and they encounter drawings in which the gestures of the human body become palpable. All the pieces—nature studies as well as body studies—interweave to create an ensemble that allows visitors to immerse themselves in a rhythmic stream of color, form, and movement. For the opening, piano music and short texts accompany the evening, deepening the experience of movement and opening a gentle dialogue between the audience and the images. Perhaps the soft pulse of the piano even invites one to be carried away for a moment by the grace of a slow waltz movement.

Short Biography

The French artist Christin Breuil studied at the University of Applied Arts in Paris. After her studies, she initially worked as an illustrator for magazines and later found success as a graphic designer in Vienna. For many years, she has lived and worked in Southern Burgenland, where she is active as a freelance artist.

In "Christin's Studio," she dedicates herself to her artistic creation and shares her passion for art with others. Additionally, she runs the gallery in the House of Folk Culture in Oberschützen.

In her works, nature and literature merge in a sensitive manner. Dreamlike landscapes emerge, interwoven with bright colors and subtle poetic allusions to her French heritage. Her vibrant play of colors, characterized by poetry, fantasy, and transparency, captivates viewers.

The works of Christin Breuil have been presented in numerous national and international exhibitions and have been recognized through acquisitions by the state of Burgenland.
