In this weekend course, our state-certified mountain guides will teach you the basic alpine skills for safe behavior in the mountains. The content includes selecting the right equipment and how to use it, walking and climbing techniques on rock, behavior in the mountains, and safety regarding alpine hazards.
The training begins on Saturday morning in our natural rock climbing garden. By noon, we will head up to the Kanzelwand for an introductory via ferrata – here, you will test and solidify your first skills. After an overnight stay in the valley, on Sunday, we will further develop our skills during a day tour on the via ferrata and refine our techniques together with the mountain guide.
When: 2 days, Saturday to Sunday, from May 23, 2026, to October 4, 2026
Time & Meeting Point: 10:00 AM, Bergschule Kleinwalsertal, Walserstraße 262, 6992 Hirschegg
Min./Max. Participants: 5 – 6 people (children from 12 years old)
Condition: Ankle-high hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sufficient drinks.
Important Information: Ascents of up to 1,000 meters in elevation, walking time between 6 and 8 hours, depending on the weather, trail conditions, and the fitness of the group.
Price: €335.00 per person
