One day, the Brit Arthur Dent learns that the destruction of Earth is imminent: a hyperspace bypass is to be built in its place. Fortunately, shortly thereafter, his best friend Ford reveals himself to be an alien who works for the intergalactic guidebook "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and is therefore well-acquainted with hitchhiking through space. With Ford's help, the two manage to stow away on a spaceship just before Earth is destroyed. But this is only the beginning of numerous intergalactic adventures that await the two friends... With his quirky space saga, which first emerged as a radio play for the BBC in 1978, Douglas Adams made a unique contribution to the booming science fiction genre. Anna Mabo & Friends bring the cult classic to the here and now, musically intertwined with songs by the Austrian musician. An entertaining evening for Earthlings and aliens alike!
