Homage to Helmut Qualtinger - Culture.Summer.Semmering

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of the legendary actor, cabaret artist, and author Helmut Qualtinger, a unique trio is forming at Semmering to provide insights into the astonishing "Qualtiverse."

It is undisputed that Qualtinger, together with Carl Merz, has entered Austrian cultural history with "Der Herr Karl" and the "Travnicek Dialogues." It is also well-known that "Quasi" contributed to several significant films and television shows. However, it has almost been forgotten that he also wrote sharp newspaper columns, co-authored additional plays with Carl Merz, and created darkly humorous poems together with André Heller.

The two actors Gregor Seberg and Robert Kolar, along with musician Tommy Hojsa, will present numerous treasures from Qualtinger's writings and repertoire, as well as selected works by his contemporaries, thus breathing new life into the biting wit of the Qualtinger cosmos at an altitude of 1,000 meters.
