The journey takes place in a world on the brink of change: The Suez Canal has just opened, the railway is crossing North America for the first time – and suddenly the Earth seems a little smaller. From London to India, China, and Japan, all the way to America and back, the duo races around the globe, always pursued by a detective who believes Fogg is a bank robber.
