With a very special program, audience favorite Heinz Marecek treats his audience: The great opera and music connoisseur takes them on an afternoon journey into the world of prima donnas and the three, four, or five tenors. He shares stories of mishaps, bizarre antics, and uproarious laughter in decidedly tragic moments on concert and opera stages around the world, allowing the audience to catch their breath only briefly between the staccato points. In "Anecdotes to Notes," Heinz Marecek recounts involuntarily humorous tales from a long-gone era and, not least, about a classical music scene that sometimes takes itself a bit too seriously. Pianist Florian Krumpöck accompanies this with some of the most famous and virtuosic opera fantasies and opera paraphrases by Franz Liszt, where one might sometimes think they are hearing an entire orchestra plus choir and soloists.
