Danish String Quartet

The members of the Danish String Quartet have been making music together since childhood. Over the years, they have grown into one of the most exciting Scandinavian ensembles of our time. They not only perform classics of the repertoire with great skill, including Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 14 in F-sharp major, but also dedicate themselves with at least equal passion to original compositions and arrangements of Nordic folk tunes. For their debut at the Brucknerhaus Linz, they will also present film music: the soundtrack for the Western "There Will Be Blood" was composed by none other than Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.
