During a visit to the Freud Museum in Vienna, two friends discover their favorite actor in the exhibition rooms. Excited, they realize that he will be giving a literary reading on Freud at the Culture Summer Semmering, for which they immediately purchase tickets. However, the more they delve into Freud's theses from the pleasure principle to the death drive in preparation for their cultural trip to Semmering, the further they drift apart. Until, at the opening ceremony of the festival, a scandal erupts.
