Tini Kainrath & Klezmer Reloaded Extended - Culture.Summer.Semmering

At the center of this concert evening is the music of Jewish pop musicians and composers such as Bob Dylan, Carole King, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, Amy Winehouse, Benny Goodman, Lou Reed, Billy Joel, George Gershwin, Stan Getz, Leonard Bernstein, and Irving Berlin. The list of Jewish artists who have significantly shaped and influenced popular music in the 20th century is long. In the program MUSIC FROM THE STARS OF DAVID, several songs and compositions by these artists will be presented in a new musical guise. They can be experienced here for the first time in the "Klezmer Sound." No distorted electric guitars, synthesizers, or drum machines, but rather elements of Jewish music from Eastern and Southeastern Europe are predominant, and they are fused with the well-known songs and instrumental pieces into a newly sounding unity. This musical concept is brought to life by a band overflowing with joy and virtuosity, along with a singer who is at home in all genres of popular music. Whether it's Viennese songs, pop, soul, or musicals – Tini Kainrath dances with ease and perfection across the most diverse styles. MUSIC FROM THE STARS OF DAVID is a joyful celebration, where, however, every song may be played with a tear in the eye.
