Dear big and small folks, pay attention! The most magical time of the year is once again at our doorstep, and the wonderful teatro Christmas production "The Christmas Story" is coming to GLOBE WIEN.
Let yourself and your family be enchanted by this unique musical adaptation of Charles Dickens and experience a captivating production that has been newly revised this year, bringing life to the bitter Ebenezer Scrooge and many well-known characters from the Christmas classic. The swirling dance spirits, the poor, warm-hearted family of Laureen, the cheerful niece and employee of Mr. Scrooge, and the infamous ghosts of the three Christmases—all of them transport you to a magical world where a life once lived, full of sorrow, is reinvented to make room for love, joy, and gratitude.
Twenty extraordinarily talented professionals, including youth and children (most from their own talent workshop) as well as adult stage performers like the passionate musical actor Peter Faerber, will surprise, enchant, and captivate on stage. Artistic director Norberto Bertassi guarantees, as always, to do everything possible to make the hearts of the audience soar. This year, there will also be fantastic costumes designed by the gifted costume designer Brigitte Huber, great-granddaughter of Gustav Klimt.
teatro is also increasingly making a name for itself as a talent workshop. In a current highlight, teatro is thrilled that a long-time member, Moritz Mausser from Baden, has earned the opportunity to play a leading role for the first time at the Vereinigte Bühnen, where he portrays Falco in the musical "Rock me Amadeus." The adult Scrooge this year will be played by the promising young Timo Petz, who is the next extraordinary teatro performer to step into this role, following Moritz Mausser and Nicolas Vinzenz, both of whom are already forging successful musical careers, including at the Vereinigte Bühnen. David Mannhart will reprise his role as the Ghost of Christmas Present, a character he has skillfully brought to life in recent years. He became well-known in 2021 as a finalist on the ORF hit show Starmania.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
