Who doesn’t know this? You only remember the first one or two lines of a song, and then... tralala... a yawning void of lyrics in your brain.

No idea how it continues! Or do you know all the Christmas songs – lyrics from “Drummerboy” to “Es wird scho glei dumpa”! Yes, yes, “Lustig, lustig Tralalalala, bald ist”... you know how it goes! And “Es hat sich halt eröffnet das himmlische TOR, TOR, TOR, i wer narrisch!” is definitely the wrong lyrics.

The comedy duo Herbert Steinböck and Thomas M. Strobl has been a brilliant pair since their days together at Simpl and turns this lyrical dilemma into an entertainment program, aptly titled “Weihnachtstralala” for the season!

They sing, hum, croon, trill, yodel, and joke their way through the entire (Christmas song) music history. The melodies come one after another, and before you recognize them, they’re already gone! Important matters are discussed: What do gifts think while sitting under the Christmas tree?

Why does Dad only bring home the purchased Christmas tree in the New Year? Why is Mom still happy: Finally, it’s “Papadaham, Papadaham, Papadaham.” (Melody: Drummerboy) An evening filled with delicious sketches and wonderful (Christmas) ideas. And of course, the legendary ÖBB Christmas party sketch “Wien Hütteldorf, Wien Hütteldorf” (see below) must not be missed. Under the motto: “Cheers, join in!”, we will collectively set our New Year’s resolutions!

The highlight of the evening is a danced New Year’s fireworks display.
