Oberlinger, Brandt, Mields & Ensemble 1700

High Baroque shepherd tradition and highly virtuosic music, in dialogue with contemplative texts, unite with the traditional melodies of the so-called Piffari to create a colorful picture book of Italian Christmas. Prominently illustrated by Matthias Brandt as the narrator, soprano Dorothee Mields, the Ensemble 1700, and the Italian pipers of Li Piffari e le Muse under the direction of Dorothee Oberlinger.
