Ortag's compositions arise from the attempt to establish a resonance with nature, and from that intuitive search that is on the trail of the – by no means obvious – laws and connections of the given. It is not the idea of an idealistic harmony that Ortag conveys in his images, but the notion of a state that is only valid in the moment, which results from an ordering intellect and the ever-present wonder at the chaos of the outer and inner worlds.
