A musical discovery at the pulse of time
The Viennese musician Hilde Löwe wrote songs, chansons, Viennese songs, blues, foxtrots, and tangos in the 1920s and 1930s under the pseudonym "Henry Love." Many works remained unpublished for a long time. Only "Das alte Lied" became famous through Richard Tauber and Marlene Dietrich. The versatile soprano Romana Amerling and a high-quality ensemble featuring Daniel Ottensamer now make the complete works accessible in concert form. The renowned Burgtheater actress Dörte Lyssewski sheds light on Löwe's life and her relationships with Arthur Schnitzler, Gustav Mahler, and Raoul Aslan.
