From the Bucket Brigade to Flood Defense: This guided tour on Friday, May 8, 2026, demonstrates how the tasks of the fire department have fundamentally changed over time. The curator of the special exhibition "Climate. Weather. Fire Department," former state fire chief Dr. Wolfgang Kronsteiner, will take visitors on an exciting tour through the current exhibition, showcasing the transformation of emergency responders from traditional firefighters to true all-rounders in climate emergencies. Extreme weather events, new operational scenarios, and the question of what climate change means for the fire department today and tomorrow are the central themes.
