Apricot Festival in Spitz

The Apricot Festival in Spitz is one of the highlights of the Wachau summer and will once again be dedicated to the famous Wachau apricot in 2026. From July 17 to 19, 2026, the historic town center will transform into a lively festival area full of enjoyment, music, and living tradition.

For three days, everything revolves around the sweet fruit: from freshly prepared apricot dumplings to fine liqueurs and creative specialties, the apricot showcases its full variety. The culinary offerings are accompanied by a diverse program featuring live music, dance, and traditional performances that delight visitors of all ages.

A special highlight is the festive parade through the town, where traditional costume groups, music bands, and the symbolic festival couple create a unique atmosphere. The Apricot Festival uniquely combines customs, regional identity, and summer joy of life – making Spitz a popular meeting point for guests from near and far year after year.
