Martin Prinz - The Last Days

On April 24 at 6:30 PM, Martin Prinz will read from his novel "The Last Days" at the Karl Renner Museum. April 1945: As the Nazi regime collapses, the escaped Neunkirchen Nazi district leader Johann Braun establishes a court of summary jurisdiction in Schwarzau im Gebirge – and arbitrarily sentences and murders people. The novel depicts these final phase crimes in Austria based on a specific location: denunciation, violence, and murder in the last days of the war. A factual novel about guilt, responsibility, and action in a time of collapse. Following the reading, the author will be available for a discussion.
