Philipp Hochmair: Everyman at the Rax

The former church in Hirschwang / Reichenau an der Rax is becoming a new venue for culture. What could be more fitting for this transformation than Hugo von Hofmannsthal's "Everyman," the timeless play about the death of a wealthy man who, in his final hour, realizes that only his faith and good deeds will accompany him on his last journey. Philipp Hochmair, the acclaimed "Everyman" of the Salzburg Festival, performs the piece together with musician and YouTube star Kurt Razelli as a multimedia show about transience, remorse, and redemption. Under the title "Everyman at the Rax," Hochmair improvises a highly relevant, captivating, rock-infused journey through emotional extremes in a version adapted to the location and the new venue.
