Talent Summer 2026 – VM1 – On the Trail of Colors

Monday:
Galaxy Mars Rover (Austrian Space Forum)
At the Galaxy Rover Workshop, you can drive small rover models around. The models are about the size of a large remote-controlled car and can be controlled with an app. They are equipped with infrared and ultrasonic sensors, allowing them to navigate through small courses. You can also try out the built-in obstacle avoidance mode or the follow mode, where the rover follows a moving target.

Tuesday:
Wild Colors – Painting with Plant Dyes (Martina Riedlmayer)
Plant dyes are vibrant and magical! Nature is blooming and sprouting all around us, let's use its colorful splendor for painting. We will create enchanting colors from flowers, leaves, fruits, and vegetables, and produce colorful artworks. Let yourself be enchanted by the color power of nature!

Wednesday and Thursday:
Il mondo del pomodoro – A Pharmaceutical Journey to Italy (Maga. Zvjezdana Begovic)
What if tomatoes, basil, and olives not only taste delicious and transport us mentally to the south, but also possess healing properties? In fact, all three plants have positive medicinal effects and are used in pharmacies. We will examine the tomato, its fruit, and the plant in detail from an anatomical and pharmacological perspective. You will also create a painting on the theme of the tomato, which will be presented on Friday with a short Italian description. We will mix a rich and nourishing olive oil salve. A slice of bread topped with olive oil, tomatoes, and basil will strengthen us, and Rita Pavone's song "Viva la pappa col pomodoro" will help us learn Italian.

Friday:
Printing with Natural Dyes (Viviana Schimmenti)
You will learn how to create amazing artworks using pastes made from natural pigments through screen printing.
