Trotting up close... The trotting track in Baden near Vienna is considered the most beautiful historical summer racetrack in Europe. The trotting association was founded as early as 1892. Since the financially well-off audience from Vienna was drawn to the south during the summer months, the idea of hosting trotting races in Baden emerged at that time. The first race day was held in 1893, and in 1895, the association organized the "Championship of Europe" for the first time, which quickly became the most significant race on the continent, attracting the elite of European trotters each year. Even today, the audience is as close to the fast racehorses as nowhere else. Four dining establishments and a wine stand provide culinary variety, and entertainment is guaranteed on every race day.
