On December 21, Mario Pecoraro will present not only the unforgettable hits of his musical idol Sir Elton John for the first time, but also songs by the Austrian music legend Udo Jürgens. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Udo Jürgens' passing, the audience at Vindobona can expect a special concert that unites both icons. "Musically, Udo Jürgens always greatly admired Elton John. In memory of this special day, I want to bring a unique concert to the stage here in Vienna," explains Mario Pecoraro. "The term 'Schlager' is often underestimated. Many of Udo Jürgens' songs are actually typical pop songs that are often perceived as 'Schlager' due to the German lyrics." The evening at Vindobona will impressively showcase what a brilliant composer Udo Jürgens was and how profound and emotional his lyrics continue to touch the audience to this day.
