Two dancers in camouflage suits and with portable mirrors move in a delicate play between visibility and disappearance. The starting point of their research is a botanical garden – a place where they explore the paradox of adaptation and presence. The performers become reflectors of their surroundings: they mirror movements, gestures, and energies, opening a quiet, plant-like communication with space, nature, and the audience. A moment's notice raises questions about our relationship with the environment: Can we hide in plain sight? Is adaptation a form of performance? And how can the feeling of connectedness be experienced in the larger ecosystem? An invitation to pause, observe, and reflect – on perception, resonance, and the subtle connections between body and world. The co-production with the La Strada Graz festival is supported as part of an artist residency by the Belgian IN SITU partner Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof. Alexander Gottfarb (Stockholm Ballet Academy) has worked with Chris Haring/liquid loft, Elio Gervasi, and Iztok Kovač, among others. His own works include Political Movements, Moved by Faith, Together, Negotiations, and others. Alex Deutinger (Anton Bruckner University Linz) has danced with Oleg Soulimenko, Christine Gaigg, and Anna Mendelssohn, among others. Since 2008, he has been creating works with Marta Navaridas such as Speaking of Which, Your Majesties, Queen of Hearts, and I would like to be a better person.
