The guided hike to Lackenkogel (2,049 m), the "local mountain" of Altenmarkt, captivates with impressive views and diverse nature. At the summit, a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountain world unfolds – from the Hohe Dachstein to the Bischofsmütze and the Hochkönig, all the way to the Tennen Mountains and the Hohe Tauern with the Großglockner. Along the Höhensteig towards Zauchensee, a unique alpine flora reveals itself in all its diversity. This tour involves an elevation gain of about 760 meters, so a good basic fitness level is required.
