Reading: Kurt Palm

Kurt Palm, known for the TV production "Phettberg's Nice People Show," is the author of numerous books, including the cult book "Bad Fucking" and most recently the novel "Dry Field" (2024). During his reading at Greith House, he will present excerpts from his books, as well as a text created during his stay about the region. The reading will be accompanied by an act from the label Pumpkin Records.

Kurt Palm, born in 1955 in Vöcklabruck, lives as an author and director in Vienna. Palm became known with the acclaimed TV production "Phettberg's Nice People Show" (1994-96). His bestseller "Bad Fucking" (Residenz 2010) was awarded the Friedrich Glauser Prize for the best German-language crime novel of the year in 2011 and was also successful as a film. Most recently, his novel "The Shark in the System" (Leykam 2022), which received the Leo Perutz Prize, was published, as well as his novel "Dry Field" (Leykam 2024).

This is a collaboration between Greith House and the Cultural Initiative Kürbis Wies.
