St. Florian Boys' Choir - Salzkammergut Festival Weeks Gmunden

The St. Florian Boys' Choir looks back on nearly 1,000 years of history. Since the year 1071, the choir has been documented at the Augustinian Canons' Monastery of St. Florian in Upper Austria. For generations, the choir has been dedicated to the preservation and development of sacred choral music and is today one of the most traditional ensembles of its kind.

Under the direction of Markus Stumpner, the St. Florian Boys' Choir regularly performs on renowned stages and at international festivals, collaborating with well-known orchestras. Soloists from the boys' choir often take on the roles designated for boys in opera productions. In addition to their commitment to traditional choral work, the ensemble is characterized by stylistic openness and high musical flexibility.
