Opening | City Band Güssing meets Wieder, Gansch & Paul DA CAPO

After more than 45 years as the cultural heart of the region, the Güssing Cultural Center is turning a new page. On May 9, 2026, the extensively renovated building will be ceremoniously reopened as the Frank-Hoffmann Cultural Center Güssing, presenting itself as a modern, open cultural and meeting place for young and old. The concert by the Güssing City Band, together with Wieder, Gansch & Paul, who will present a specially curated program for this occasion, will provide a festive conclusion to the first opening day of the cultural center. Before that, the building can be explored during an open house event.

On the occasion of the "50 Years of Cultural Centers" anniversary, tickets for the concert are available at a 50% discount for only €20. Tickets for the evening concert can only be purchased at the KUZ Güssing office. Sales start: April 1, 2026.

Open House Day – from 2:00 PM | Free admission

The open house day invites the public to discover the new cultural center in all its facets. The diverse program ranges from the Güssing City Choir and the Musical Kids to the exhibition by the VHS Photography Club Güssing titled "en détail," as well as interactive activities like face painting for children.

Visitors can experience the folk dance group Glasing and the Big Band Saxtrom, listen to the Güssing Folk Choir, or enjoy readings by Heinz Janisch and Erich Sammer. The mascot Lilli Glitzerei will also provide charming entertainment, while the duo "OHRI On" featuring Mecky Pilecky and Rainer Paul, along with the Gerersdorf Singing Circle, will round off the program.

Architectural tours will offer insights into the newly designed building, which boasts state-of-the-art technology and flexible spaces.
